I am working on paying for college and I was wondering if any of you knew where the best scholarships are. I like the scholarships that are for photography, modeling, art, fashion and the like.
If you know anything, that would be great! I am already on Fastweb.com so I have access to many scholarships already.
Thanks!
You can get info about such college scholarships and grants online here – careers.scienceontheweb.net
I’m looking for a website which lists all of the Canadian university scholarships (preferably ones offering over $1000)
go to electronicainfo.ca
and type in scholarship, it lists alll the ones available and the due date + amount and other important info.

i have searched everywhere and i have already filled out a FAFSA form for aid. It is not enough money i really need help finding somewhere i can get the help and money i desperatly need.
Most colleges will offer student loans guaranteed by the federal government (stafford, perkins loans, etc.) on top of state and federal need-based grants.
The best method for getting more aid would be to fill out your FAFSA the moment you file your taxes (next year; try to do this all at the end of January) as need based aid is often first come-first serve.
In addition to this, you can talk to financial aid office at the college you want to attend and see if they have a scholarship packet that you can fill out, or scholarship / aid workshops that you can attend.
I have been through 3 colleges and most of them offered these sorts of services, a great help when I needed it most.
All this failing, if you can get help from your parents you may be able to get a PLUS loan (Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students) or a third party loan with any credit worthy co-signer.
Good luck, it can be intimidating but it gets easier each year!
My son is in 9th grade ( 3.60 GPA) and play as libero for his school and club team. His team had been in the finals for two consecutive years at the Juniors Olympics, won the country volleyball tournament, and his school team is rank #1 at the high school volleyball league. He likes what he do and works hard to play good. He will like to earn a scholarship but don’t know when should we start working for it and what steps should we follow.
colleges.mywebcommunity.org – try this site. It has info about different US scholarships for college students and their grades requirements.
I have a FastWeb account. Is there any other legitimate website where I can find scholarships?
Try collegeboard.com or SallieMae.com
All of the scholarships on these sites are legitimate, however you should still be careful putting out alot of personal information.
Good luck with your scholarship search!

In early September, Athletes for Hope connected the members of the US Mens Soccer team with Thanks USA. As a result, fans will not only see the team preparing for the World Cup in the upcoming months, but also honoring some of their heroes- the members of the armed forces. The team gathered in Salt Lake City to film a PSA to support ThanksUSA, a non-profit that is thanking Americas troops and families with the gift of education. ThanksUSA provides two year, four year, and vocational school scholarships based on financial need and community leadership to the children and spouses of active duty military personnel. Since 2005, nearly 1800 scholarships have been awarded to these military family members in all fifty states. Each scholarship is valued at $3,000 and the goal for 2009 is to award another 500 scholarships, totaling 1.5 million dollars.
