Nathan:

I'd sure love to help you with this question, but when I went to look up Jake Cutler, the only prominent Cutler I could find is the Jay Cutler who plays quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Obviously, that's not the Cutler who is promising college grants for males. If it is, then the Broncos aren't paying him enough.

However, without even knowing the right Cutler, I can tell you for certain that John Doe Cutler's grants are a scam. The federal government provides only one form of major grant program for individuals, and that's the federal student aid program. Eligibility for the federal student aid program is not tied, in any way, to whether you were born with 2 sex chromosomes (xy) or only one (xx).

If you would like to read a warning from the federal government about this type of nonsense, I refer you to http://grants.gov/ , the internet gateway to all of the federal government's grant programs. Click through to "About Grants.gov", and then "Who is eligible for a grant?", and you'll find this passage:

"We have all seen them, late night infomercials, websites, and reference guides, advertising "millions in free money" Don't believe the hype! Although there are many grants on Grants.gov, few of them are available to individuals and none of them are available for personal financial assistance."

Wish Mr. Cutler luck with the Broncos' 2009-2010 NFL season, but don't send him any of your hard-earned money. He's pushing a scam. If he'd like to come here to Yahoo! Answers and prove otherwise, I'm always interested in learning something new.

Good luck - I hope that helped.
