***Sidenote***
Not everyone gets money back. Also if you’re getting some grant money back (money you don’t have to pay after graduation) it’s yours to keep. No worries about having to pay it back.

It’s ok as long as you’re not spending the money recklessly. If you’re transferring schools and you need bedding, storage units, etc. that’s completely fine. But its when you spend 24/7 and after graduation you have nothing to start paying your loans back. Not a good look.

I completely understand, sometimes you have to use the money for things you need. It’s all good. But it’s when you spend the money recklessly and when it’s time to pay the loans back you’re broke as a joke.

I am also at a Community College and we get the full amount for pell and I brought things since I am going to transfer and the rest will be for transportation so I can get out and find a job while living on campus, Do you think that is a smart idea or what?????

I understand what you’re saying. I am in community college now, and I receive the full pell grant. Last time I received my money I bought a computer because I really really needed one. I won’t find out anything about the loans until I transfer.
