This was a short documentary I did for a scholarship for the National Coalition Against Censorship. I never heard back once I sent it in but Im not even sure the place is legit at this point. I wrote/filmed/edited this whole thing in like 2 days so Im pretty happy how it turned out, regardless of the scholarship status.

Free speech does …
Free speech does matter. And to be effective it must be heard.
CSE is currently using the DMCA in an attempt to stifle speech they disagree with. Watch the vid (watch?v=ckODHCVISVw) to learn about it.

It’s kinda funny, but the guy that made the most sense, and sounded at least halfway educated, was the homeless guy. The others were stumbling and stuttering. (I know one woman had an accent, but still…)

Free speech must …
Free speech must come with some responsibility. Geographical size matters too. Free but uninformed speech is an unimaginable danger that must be guarded against, if not totally destroyed.

Every time I watch …
Every time I watch this, I sit here just stuck in awe. It’s seriously an amazing film. And the people you talked to were perfect. If this scholarship thing is real, your film has to win. And if it’s not real, well you still made a fantastic film.
