On http://www.college-scholarships.com/free_scholarship_searches.htm you can find links to nearly 60 free online scholarship searches. While almost all of the scholarships listed are awarded each year, some of them are highly competitive. Thus you might want to limit your efforts to competing for the scholarships for which it appears you have the best chance of being selected and to those which are not competitive in nature.

i would say the opposite of the other responder. having used fastweb, filling out application after application, plus writing 10+ scholarship essays when applying on fastweb i didn't receive a single scholarship- even with a 4.0 GPA, 200 hours of logged community service, and a 32 on the ACT...

I can tell you that people most certainly do receive these scholarships. In fact, oftentimes few people actually apply for many of the scholarships, so your odds of receiving one are actually pretty good.
