Where’s the best place to find good scholarships online?

Posted by admin on February 7th, 2010 and filed under online scholarships | 4 Comments »

I’m attending NYU, and it’s really, really expensive. I need some scholarships. I had been using FastWeb, but it’s so spammy. Every "scholarship" is really just some promotion to sign up for. Where can I find real scholarships or grants?

You can get info about such college scholarships and grants online here – schools.medianewsonline.com

For scholarship or financial aid questions, I just tell my friends to check out http://www.FinancialAidQuick.com and take a look around. Its excellent starting point with a few good sources of info.

Fastweb does have a lot of offers for you to fill out, but you shouldn’t expect everything to be free. They have to make money too!

With that said, you should start applying for all of the scholarship offers you can. If you don’t want a bunch of spammy offers, setup another email address where all of your junk mail can go. This way you can apply for scholarships all you want, and the junk mail you don’t want will go into an email address you don’t care about. There are many grants and scholarships available if you know where to look.

Check your major for any scholarships related to your field of study at school. Also check out weird and odd scholarships on the internet. They are all over the place. I don’t know if you are a minority, but there are many opportunities available for minorities too.

You need to get busy, as right now is the prime time for applying for scholarships. You may be able to find some here that can help you or you can try the wizard at the bottom of the page
