Is it counterproductive to award scholarships to girls?

Posted by admin on November 27th, 2009 and filed under scholarships for men | 8 Comments »

Considering the fact that they usually get married and are taken care of by their husbands isn’t it a waste of resources to award girls scholarships when men need them more?
Channy ,

Of course Lesbians would disagree (they think that they are men, right?).
Folks, that Anna P has been stalking me for days pay no attention to his/her personal attacks and rants. The obviously just want to argue!

Quite the misogynist are we?

You must live in a VERY WEALTHY area, in most parts of the US a two income household is needed.

i don’t know ANY women who are "taken care of" by anyone, married or not. they all work outside the home, except an aunt i have who does stay at home, but i’d say taking care of 5 kids all by yourself (her hubby is not helping at all with household work) is a job. in my last relationship i made more money than he did, so i guess you could say i took care of him. i wouldn’t say that though, because he did have a job, and he shared the household responsibilities with me as well.

If you live in Australia when your youngest child turns 5 you are expected to work or you dont get benefits. This applies whether you are married or single. So it pays to get out there and work if youre a woman. I would imagine it would be even tougher for American women.
I detect a fair amount of bitterness and misogyny in your question.

wow, this was a really dumb question.
    Of course it is!
It doesn’t matter if your a woman or a man,if you earned it you should receive it.
And,men usually run things enough, why give them more power?
And, most women have jobs, usually only wealthy upperclass families can manage only one person bringing in the money.
PS: your not living in the 60’s anymore dude.

Yeah. Women have recently gotten out of there place. Now I think they should be able to vote and have a job(part time) but the first and foremost responsiablity is being a housewife. Raising the kids and keeping the house from chaos. Every child should come home to a loving mother not to a empty house. The husbands brings the food home and the wifes cook it.
