When should I start looking for a men volleyball scholarship?

My son is in 9th grade ( 3.60 GPA) and play as libero for his school and club team. His team had been in the finals for two consecutive years at the Juniors Olympics, won the country volleyball tournament, and his school team is rank #1 at the high school volleyball league. He likes what he do and works hard to play good. He will like to earn a scholarship but don’t know when should we start working for it and what steps should we follow.

No time like the present. He needs to start going to camps at the schools that he might like to play at. That way, the coach can see him and visa versa. Also, if he knows where he might like to go, notify that coach so maybe the coach can watch for him specifically. Hard for a coach to just pick a kid out of the hundreds of kids that are at Nationals or other tournaments. Good luck. Keep up with the school work and register with the NCAA Clearing house.
